Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PS5 on October 20
The much-anticipated Summer Game Fest 2023 has finally begun. The event featured the announcements of some highly anticipated titles such as Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Mortal Kombat 1. However, there was a surprise announcement from Insomniac Games and PlayStation regarding Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
During the event, Insomniac revealed the game’s release date. According to the announcement, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available on October 20th. The pre-order process for the game will begin on June 16th. It was stated that pre-orders can be made for both physical and digital versions of the game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the eagerly awaited new Spider-Man game, will be initially exclusive to PS5. The Standard edition of the game will start at $69.99. Additionally, the $79.99 priced Digital Deluxe edition will include 10 additional costumes and extra stickers as a bonus for pre-orders.
The game, developed by Insomniac, is actually a sequel. When playing as Peter Parker, we see Spider-Man wearing the black symbiote suit. This gives Spider-Man a more powerful and aggressive nature. This implies that the two characters portrayed by Peter Parker and Miles Morales can have conflicts.
From the previous gameplay video, one important deduction we can make is that we will be able to switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Additionally, popular characters such as Kraven and Lizard have been added to the game.
